Tools in Pupau
A standout feature of Pupau is its flexibility in integrating different kinds of tools and data sources inside your agents. Each agent can be equipped with a broad spectrum of tools, each serving a specific purpose—from core automation to deep enterprise integration. Here’s an overview of the main tool types you can use:
1. Native Tools
Native tools are developed and maintained by Pupau, and provide seamless integration with the platform, including the user interface. Some prime examples include:
- Web search
- Web page navigation
- Document creation, editing and export
- To-do lists and workflow orchestration
- Browser Use
Native tools are ideal for repeated, high-value tasks that demand reliability and a streamlined experience.
2. External APIs
For more specialized needs, Pupau lets you connect external APIs: your agent can interact with third-party services or your own software systems. This enables integration with CRMs, company databases, SaaS platforms, cloud services, and more, expanding the agent’s possibilities almost endlessly.
3. Pipelines (Agentic Workflow)
Pipelines are Pupau’s internal system for workflow automation (Agentic Workflow), allowing agents to run structured, multi-step processes. You can think of a pipeline as an automated assembly line, where your agent can string together several actions—using both native and external tools—to create a cohesive, repeatable flow.
With the Agentic Workflow concept, you can turn manual procedures into end-to-end automations, adaptable to changing business goals.
4. Agent Orchestrator (Agent as a Tool)
The Agent Orchestrator is a powerful feature that lets you map another Pupau agent as a tool—essentially enabling true agent-to-agent orchestration. With this, an agent can invoke another agent within a workflow: delegating tasks, fetching information, or leveraging special skills from other agents configured on the platform.
Agent Orchestrator tools can work in two primary modes:
- Tagging Mode: The main agent "tags" or calls the secondary agent within the conversation context. The response provided by the second agent is then automatically integrated and further processed by the original agent, seamlessly enhancing the workflow with distributed expertise.
- Handover Mode: The calling agent fully delegates the task or responsibility to the secondary agent, handing over the context. From that point, the invoked agent continues the task autonomously.
Like all Pupau features, Agent Orchestrator is entirely no-code and can be configured visually through the intuitive graphical interface. This allows even non-technical users to set up multi-agent collaborations and sophisticated workflow choreographies—empowering teams to solve complex problems with collaborative artificial intelligence.
5. External Tools via MCP (Model Context Protocol)
Finally, Pupau supports integration with external tools via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). MCP is designed for connecting agents to external tools, services, or applications not natively supported by the platform. It acts as a standardized bridge, enabling agents to interact with ERPs, CMSs, vertical business tools, or even legacy systems, greatly expanding their potential in corporate or complex IT environments.
Thanks to this modular architecture, Pupau lets you craft agents the way you want—mixing built-in functions with API-based expansions, complex workflow pipelines, and even custom integrations with your proprietary or legacy tools. As your needs and ambitions grow, your agent can evolve in step, always ready to tackle tomorrow’s challenges.
