Tokens serve this purpose by breaking down text into smaller, consistent units that the AI can effectively process.
When you type a message or input text, the system automatically divides your text into these tokens. A token might be a complete word, but it can also be part of a word, a special character, or even a single space. For instance, common English words like “the” or “and” are typically single tokens, while longer or more complex words might be divided into multiple tokens. This tokenization process happens behind the scenes, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of your inputs.
How We Use Credits
At PUPAU, we understand that dealing with technical concepts like tokens can be overwhelming, especially when different AI models process them differently and at varying costs. That’s why we’ve developed a straightforward credit system based on what we call a “message”. This system makes it much easier to understand and track your usage across our platform.
We’ve carefully designed our credit system to be user-friendly and transparent. One message in our system equals 2000 tokens, combining both what you input (your questions or prompts) and what you receive back (the AI’s responses). This standardization helps eliminate confusion and provides a clear, consistent way to measure usage across different AI models.
